Busy Bee's

As always.....life has been busy. SO busy. I don't think we would know how to function if life wasn't busy. Lot's of fun things have been going on....holidays, birthdays, family, traveling and more!

For Valentines we went up to Springdale and had dinner at Oscar's. YUM. It was delicious, I'm not sure why we don't go there more often. We walked around the little town for a bit and enjoyed the nice weather. Then we went hot tubbing at The Pioneer. Such a fun night out celebrating Valentines with the hubs! We had a really good time!

For my birthday we headed up to SLC. I was happy to get to celebrate my birthday with my family this year, it had been a long time since I got to do that. Jase and I went to dinner that night at Sonora Grill (best guac in town) then went over to Wise Guys to a comedy show. I had never been to either place but was impressed by both. The food was really good and the comedy was great. We will definitely go back to both places! It was nice to do something a little different...instead of the usual dates (dinner, movie, bowling, etc). I couldn't have asked for a better day! The next day my sister, my mom and I went and got a pedicure then Jase and I went and did some shopping. After that we met back up with my family for dinner at Tepanyaki...I hadn't been to that place in years! Everyone was there and I was so happy to get to spend time with family on my birthday weekend! Like I mentioned, it doesn't happen very often now that we are all older and married. Sunday my dad made my "birthday dinner", homemade "Mo'betta" (if you have never been to Mo'betta Steaks YOU ARE MISSING OUT. GO NOW! (This post has quickly turned in to all the delicious food we have been eating....good for the soul, not for the body. Oops.)

 Ydraw co-ed softball has started and we only have one week left before playoffs! We currently are ranked #1. WOOT WOOT! We've had a pretty good season and it's been a lot of fun playing with everyone!

Brooks turned 1! I can't believe that sweet baby boy is ONE YEARS OLD. Seems like yesterday that Nick and I were driving from St. George to SLC to be there when he was born. Brooks is the sweetest baby ever, he is SO GOOD! Jase always says "I hope all our kids are like Brooks". It was a lot of fun celebrating how much we love this little boy.

Ryan got engaged to the sweetest girl, Miss Ellie Holcomb. We are so excited to welcome her into the fam. I hope she can handle us. They had been in Florida visiting her grandparents and when they flew home all of our family and her family were waiting for them with a big sign that said "Ellie will you marry me? Love, Ryan". She was caught off guard and it was the perfect moment. You could tell how happy the both of them were.  Ellie is the perfect person for my brother and I'm looking forward to their wedding this summer.

Shaylee and her two boys came down and stayed at our house for 5 days! We loved having them and we hope they come stay with us again soon! We ate popcorn, made milkshakes, and Nixon even helped Jase plants some plants in the yard. My mom, dad, grandma and grandpa were in town this same time so we got to see them as well. Shay, my mom and I went to see Cinderella one day so Jase and his brothers had babysitting duty. It went pretty well until Jase fell asleep in the playroom while "watching" Nixon. (;

I choreographed a dance for Jase's brother and his friends this year again. This year they had girls dance with them and we did "You're the one that I want" from Grease. They are always a blast to teach and I'm bummed this was their last year. Hopefully I'll get to choreograph for Jase's twin brothers before they graduate.

We celebrated Easter at Jase's parents. We headed over there after the morning session of conference then had our annual Easter egg hunt. We were all allowed to find 13 eggs and me and Jase dominated. We found ours in the first few minutes and the rest of the family couldn't even find their 13. We are still missing 8-10 eggs. Then we did a scavenger hunt to find our basket. That sweet Easter Bunny is sure nice and still brings us presents (; After all the Easter excitement, we settled down to watch the final session of conference. I LOVE CONFERENCE. I love the messages that are shared with us and I love the things that I learn. I am so grateful to be a member of the church.

JASE TURNED 25! He is not one that likes to celebrate his birthday. Boy did he marry the wrong girl for that. I LOVE BIRTHDAYS! I had to work that day which was kind of a bummer but it did not stop us from celebrating. We went to breakfast with his mom, dad and sister at Black Bear Diner then I headed back to work. For dinner I took him to Anasazi Grill. THEIR STEAKS ARE TO DIE FOR! Then we headed to a park and he opened his presents and ended the night at our house for some oreo birthday cake! I loved celebrating this special guy. He deserves to be celebrated all day everyday....he's such a hard worker and such a sweet husband. Love that guy with all my heart. We plan to do some more birthday celebrations this weekend.....cause you know when it's your birthday you get to celebrate ALL MONTH LONG. (That is if we start feeling better today) Jase has been sick for 2 weeks now, and I got sick the end of last week...hopefully it passes soon! We both are pretty miserable and would LOVE to not be sick anymore.

That about sums up what we've been up to! I didn't mention Spring Break, but that deserves its own post! I'll get to that shortly!
